Tennent's
Wellpark Brewery
Each year since 1996, Tennent’s Lager have given every unsigned musician in Scotland the chance to play their biggest gig ever, in front of the country’s most devoted music lovers at T in the Park. The T Break Stage has long been recognised as the place to catch the best of the country’s new music at T in the Park.
In 2009 we received around 1200 entries from bands and artists from Glasgow to Stornoway and everywhere in between, and we expect even more this year. The judging panel is made up of our partners at DF Concerts, Radio 1, PRS and HMV, as well as record label reps, journalists and others involved in the industry in Scotland – and it’s up to them to pick the most exciting unsigned artists to share the bill with festival headliners Muse, Eminem and Kasabian.
Over the years we’ve seen some pretty amazing performances on the T Break Stage – it’s where Biffy Clyro made their T in the Park debut, and where Paolo Nutini decided to showcase his alter ego’s collective – Snake Derrick & The Vypers back in 2008.
