About T break

T Break – now in its landmark 20th year - was launched by T in the Park founding partner Tennent’s Lager in 1996 and has been providing Scotland’s freshest unsigned talent with an opportunity to showcase their music on the T Break Stage at T in the Park ever since.

Over the years T Break has seen acts go from unknown and unsigned to festival superstars and a particular highlight from T Break’s illustrious 20-year-history was seeing former T Break band Biffy Clyro headline the main stage at T in the Park last year. The stage has played host to many legendary performances over the years, including sets from Snow Patrol, Paulo Nutini and The View and this year will be the T Break Stage’s first year at T in the Park’s new home in Strathallan.

Each year 16 bands are hand-picked from over a thousand entries by T Break’s music industry expert judges and given the chance to perform on the biggest and most prestigious platform for emerging talent at T in the Park.
