Radar. Scotsman is the Scotsman's online platform for the best up and coming musical talent in Scotland. New to the Judging Panel in 2011, Billy also writes Drowned in Sound's monthly Scottish music column and works as a freelance music journalist for a range of publications throughout the UK.

Craig joined DF Concerts after studying Music Business at Stow College and spends his time making sure the best new bands in Scotland are on his radar. Craig also reps and stage manages local band shows across Glasgow as well as tour managing bands all over Scotland. Craig is new to the Judging Panel in 2011.

Claire is a new appointment to the Judging Panel in 2011. Before joining The List, Claire worked as a freelance journalist for seven years, writing music reviews and interviews for newspapers including The Sunday Times, Metro, The Herald and The Scotsman.

New to the T Break Judging Panel in 2011, Dave is a co-founder of The Skinny, the largest ABC-certified entertainment and listings freesheet in Scotland, which was established six years ago. Without losing sight of where it comes from, The Skinny covers a broad range of local, national and international arts, priding itself on an unflinching dedication to the underdog.

Besides his primary duty as Music Editor at The Skinny, Dave has contributed to Drowned in Sound, The Big Issue Scotland, STV. tv, News of the World and The List over the years. He currently freelances for The Scotsman.

Throughout his twelve years at DF Concerts, Dave has been a champion of new talent and his approach has made him popular with a huge number of artists including The Killers, Biffy Clyro, Kaiser Chiefs, My Chemical Romance, Paolo Nutini and Kasabian.

Dave has also been responsible for bringing various rock and metal bills including Taste of Chaos and Black Crusade to Scotland. As well as booking some of the world’s top acts he continues to oversee the booking of King Tuts.

Some of the acts who have come through the process have gone on to be globally successful (Biffy Clyro and Snow Patrol) and acts from 2011’s selection could follow in their footsteps. David has worked in A&R for 8 years, both within the Record & Publishing industry. He is currently the A&R Consultant for both Mercury Records and Vertigo Records and his most recent signing is Glasgow band Kassidy who performed on the T Break Stage in 2010.

Jen founded Euphonios in 2007 whilst working as a promoter where she booked for King Tuts and other venues across Scotland. She has a great deal of major and independent label experience working as a Scout for Fiction Records and also setting up and running King Tuts Recordings. She has served on the boards of AIM and SMIA and currently manages Unicorn Kid and Polarsets.

Jim Gellatly

Jim has firmly established himself as one of Scotland's leading exponents of new music. Having served time at various national radio stations, he’s played a role in uncovering many of the most important bands around.

He currently has shows on Amazing Radio and Clyde 1, hosts a weekly podcast, writes a column for the Scottish Sun and regularly DJs and hosts events throughout Scotland.

Sharon has over 10-years music industry experience in many areas ranging from Publishing, Production, PR and Promotions but it is A&R, particularly within the Scottish music scene that she has been most passionate about. Sharon loves continuously seeking out bands and artists to bring to the attention of major labels such as V2, Sony BMG and Columbia Records and friends working across various roles within the industry.

Vic is a well-loved and respected broadcaster, presenter and journalist with knowledge, enthusiasm and passion for music and arts across all genres. For over 11 years, Vic presented a weekly new music show on Radio 1 and continues to broadcast on BBC Radio Scotland.

As a freelance journalist, he does regular work for newspapers and magazines including weekly music columns for ‘The List’, and more recently for ‘A-Listed’ as part of Scotland’s ‘News of the World’.

Yvonne is new to the T Break Judging Panel in 2011. Driven by her passion for new music, Yvonne has worked in the music industry for 13 years under various guises from label manager to record shop owner.  She is currently the Regional A&R Scout with Island Records.

“I’m incredibly excited and honoured to be part of the judging team this year and will be looking for artists that have a talent first and foremost in their songwriting and musical ability.  Other considerations will be those who stand out from the crowd through their individuality, creativity, passion and presence”.
